SEO Using Content Strategies
People often misunderstand the search engine optimization (SEO) process, thus causing them to make a lot of SEO mistakes that cost them not only their page ranking in search engines, but they also lose traffic volume of potential clients. SEO can help get traffic to your site, but getting them to stay is a whole new different ball game.
The whole SEO process revolves around getting a good page ranking in search engines by applying certain strategies so that people can find your site easier. The better your page ranking, the easier it is for users to find it, through increasing the amount of traffic that your site is able to generate. If users do not find any relevant content on your site, then all your efforts to get them to your site would be all for nothing.
To ensure that you get users to start on your site, you must learn some basics content strategies.
As mention before getting people directed to your site or page is one thing, but getting them to stay is another. In order to generate positive and profitable effects of the amount of traffic that you are about to receive, it is important that you offer your users exactly what they are looking for.
When people are looking for something in particular, they will use keyword searches on search engines. Once directed to your site they expect to find relevant content pertaining to that keyword, so make sure your content is relevant to their searches. Avoid using keywords that have no relevance to your content, but try to use them so that you can gain more traffic to your page due to the popularity of that keyword. All what would happen is the user will back click to their search engine, and not necessarily create any positive effect on your page. Make sure that your choice of keywords correlates with the content you are creating on your page.
More Content is Better
The more content you create on a particular topic or keyword, the higher your chances of getting tagged and linked by other sites, it also increases your chances of answering a user’s search for relevant content. It’s like fishing, the more assorted bait you have, the better your chances of catching a fish. To get the right users, you need to offer more content.
Remember, the various articles you create and post on your site as well as on other sites can generate a lot of back-links which can lead users back to your site.
Keep Content Fresh
Create and post new content regularly, it can improve your site’s chances of getting recommendations from other sites, especially those that are linked to your site. The more new and fresh content you put out, the more opportunities users who are searching for that particular content will have on finding one that is relevant to their search.
Building links is another content strategy that you can apply to get users to come to your site as they are looking for information on a particular product. Try linking to other sites that have similar content, or who uses the same keywords in tagging their site’s content.
This way, any user searching in those sites will be directed to your page’s similar content, making it easier for users to find your page.
